Tuesday we did an article on this crazy bill California is looking at in regards to wages. Today let's look at the harm. Several states said they would follow California and do the same. One of the scary parts is that on these boards that are being created is a seat for the Union leadership. Forget the fact that 99% of fast foods are not union.
As I had said in the past these except for management these were always jobs for students and semi retired folks. But now the undocumented and lowly educated are taking these jobs.
Look at the wages they are trying to establish. $22.00 an hour starting pay. So you have an undocumented person here illigaly starting at $22.00 an hour. Or as in one case a person who is a high school drop out starting at $22.00 an hour.
How's this hurt small business? If a McDonald's or Jack in the Box is starting someone at $22.00, how does a small company keep it's employees where the average hourly is $15.00? Look at the unemployment that you create.
What happens nationwide if this is adopted? You have a $10.00 hamburger that poor folks can't afford. And how many rich folks want to go to McDonald's for a ten dollar burger?
