Two years ago The governor appointed an excellent choice for the Florida Supreme Court. Her nomination was stopped cause she was four months short of being in the Florida bar. Her appointment would have been after the ten year limit. But the law is the law. It went by date appointed not when she would join.
Well now she's in and the governor now has four of the seven judges appointed by him. but this appointment is an excellent choice. Renatha Francis.
“I stand before you the epitome of the American dream,” said Francis, whose mother did not graduate high school. “My beginnings are humble.” She said that applying laws “as written” are the bedrock of her judicial philosophy, and “essential to preserving liberty.”
“I’m incredibly honored and humbled by this appointment to continue my service to the people of our great state of Florida,” Francis said, according to Fox News. “I know I’ve said this before on prior occasions, but I have to say it again — I stand before you as the epitome of the American Dream.”
