Winning. 200,000 down and how many more to go?

I saw somewhere this morning that so far 200,000 government employees have been laid off or received buyouts.

The only thing that bothers me is that instead of getting rid of the deadwood, because of union contracts the youngest employees are let go first.

Just like private sector unions, the most productive aren't the ones kept. Maybe that will change in my lifetime.
