Why Progressives love China and other Socialist Communist countries but no longer love Russia.

Up to 2015 Putin was the darling of the left. Putin and Obama were like peanut butter and jelly. Then Trump appeared on the stage. Suddenly China could do no wrong. So why did Russia fall out of favor with the left?

We all know how the so called Russian collusion story with Trump never happened. But yet even though it was proved that China was trying to push the electorate to Hillary, no one on the left cared. Progressives felt that Putin stabbed his allies in the Democrat party in the back. That was the unforgivable sin.

China and countries like Venezuela had more to offer the left. Venezuela with their dirty oil and China with their Billions. Also China on a daily basis was attacking Trump and feeding MSM false stories about Trump. And some say the so called Trump and Putin stories were actually planted by the Chinese.
