High School students build Sacramento type homes for storm victims.

High School students build Sacramento type homes for storm victims. Anyone familiar with the ghetto area around the Sacramento River (east sac) you'll see these small sears catalog homes. 600 sq ft. The mansions are around 900 sq. ft.

Well, we're seeing high school students around the country building these homes for folks who have lost everything from some type of disaster.

Recently a high school in North Carolina built four of these houses for storm victims. A group of 18 seniors goes to work on building an A-frame, 650-square-foot home shell.

The high school said it hopes to keep the partnership going for at least the next several years, at a rate of about two to four tiny homes a year. Once the home shells are hauled off to the recipient, Rebuilding Hollers works with local contractors to get the interiors completed.
