California Implementing New K-12 Mathematics Framework Based on Social Justice. The state of California is adopting a new framework for teaching math that revolves around the progressive concepts of equity and social justice. This sort of thing is happening in various parts of education. Basically, the left is embedding their political agenda in subjects that should have nothing to do with politics. It’s yet another attempt to use education as a form of indoctrination.
In plain English, the 12th graders are asked how much is 1+1. Whites and Asians students have to give the Black and Chicano students the answer. Blacks and Chicano's move on to College. Whites and Asians are held back. Winning.
So why are they doing this? Just 30% of California's 4th graders are proficient in math. For black and Hispanic students it's 15% and 17% respectively.
